The City on the Other Side

There are two types of fairies - Seelie and Unseelie who are in the midst of a cold Iron War. The problem is that there’s only a thin veil between the fairy and human world and young Isabel (Izzy to her new friend Buttons) finds herself pulled from her human world into the fairy world and may be the Seelie's best hope. Luckily she has help.

 

Note: This story is tied to the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906 and at the end of the book Ms. Scott provides detailed information about San Francisco's history. As a result it can also be tied to content-area lessons as well as language arts.
